The actual famous news clipping that went all over the world
More of the story: The IRS kept adding to the amount owed, then they seized my house and all my tax records in it. Knowing I no longer had any receipts for expenses I was suddenly audited for the last three years. They said since I had no receipts their experts assumed I only had profits without expenses for the last 3 years of my business. They assessed me more in taxes, interest and penalties than my entire lifetime earnings. And you want to know why I don't dare go out and get a job? I could end up owning more than I earned! Don't say it can't happen - it happened to me. The continuing story... When the state of California found out the IRS was billing me for hundreds of thousands of "sure to get" dollars they assessed my $28,000 for their own reasons. Their bill was computed from an IRS fabricated bill I didn't really owe in the first place. All parties knew this but the state still wants their share. If I were to ever work in California they have to right to seize my money. After the Ann Landers letter came out IRS officials who were always "in meetings" were suddenly available. It seems someone higher up told them to stop what they were doing and resolve this NOW. They ran an Offer in Compromise through in record time resolving the entire tax bill for $500. They added they would get a percentage of my earning for the next 5 years or so, so their was no incentive to earn for 5 years. What about my lost $200,000 house, car, 18 year successful business, good wife and intense anguish, pain and suffering? I have been approached by attorneys suggesting a very large lawsuit ($900 million?) for many of the unethical and illegal things that were done to me. Any amount of compensation would not be worth the many miserable lost years of my life. where will this go? The State of California just called to say since I
accepted an Office in Compromise with the IRS years ago I was agreeing to the amount
owed but settled for a lessor amount. They said they still want their $28,000 that has now
grown to $45,000. They said they cannot dismiss the amount. They said maybe one day I will
win the lottery. It will just stay on their records till I die. If I ever work in
California they can take my money for this bogus bill. I can go on welfare, food stamps or work odd jobs for cash. Is this my America? Will you be next? Justin is open to media interviews. |
